THE GOODS was born from necessity.

In 2020, as the global COVID-19 lockdown was enforced, entrepreneurial husband-and-wife team, (that's - us Jason and Kelcie) were searching for insightful content showcasing strategic and personal insights of the brand marketing's industry's most successful.

But we found a void.

From debuting as a downloadable PDF,  then a premium print magazine and next, a box-fresh website: THE GOODS is more than a media platform; it's a family run challenger.

At THE GOODS, we champion thoughtful analysis, ardent inquiry, and a tenacious pursuit of transparency.

How it Started

In 2020 Kelcie suffered a miscarriage, just as the global COVID-19 lockdown was enforced. In our search for long-form, insightful content to divert our minds as we stayed at home, we found ourselves facing a void.

Though other marketing publications are phenomenal at reporting the latest developments about the work and the strategy, the deeper layers of the people leading the industry seemed untouched. Seeing a need, we decided to fill it.

THE GOODS was born as a free, downloadable PDF, and we were thrilled to watch immediate traction with 557 downloads in its first 24 hours. More than just headlines, we delved into the real-life experiences of those shaping the marketing landscape – from a day in the life of an agency's new business director to the nuanced expectations of executive leadership at the likes of Volvo and DIAGEO.

The response? Overwhelming. Iconic brands, international agencies, and PR firms from London to New York began to seek us out. THE GOODS had not just found its niche but had become a thriving platform for the marketing masters and creative visionaries who shape our world.

A New Era

Before we knew it, we had a backlog. Brands, agencies, PR shops and industry experts eager to get involved with THE GOODS.

In taking it online, we are starting an incredible new chapter, helping us welcome new thinkers and bring even more doers who share our passion to the table.

With a box-fresh website that inspires all to dive deeper and create, we feel even more determined in our mission to spotlight the careers and personal lives of thinkers and doers behind the work, whilst opening up the intricacies of success within the marketing industry.
