Actor Stanley Tucci and Tanqueray drop 30 pre-batched No.TEN freezer martinis for World Martini Day 2025—full recipe and tasting notes inside.
There are two ways to mark World Martini Day. One involves hashtags and a shaker. The other lands frost-cold, pre-batched, and hand-signed by Stanley Tucci.
By now, Stanley Tucci’s devotion to the martini is the stuff of social media legend. His method, vermouth rinse, long stir, grapefruit peel, has been dissected almost as much as his tailoring.
For World Martini Day 2025, the actor and Tanqueray No.TEN global partner has given fans the next best thing to an invite to his kitchen: a limited release of just 30 freezer-ready martinis, hand-signed and bottled to his exacting specifications.
Each kit arrives with a 700 ml blend of No.TEN, dry vermouth and mineral water, pre-diluted to 30.9% ABV, alongside two engraved glasses, a tin of Manzanilla olives, and a handwritten note. The ritual has been reduced to its essentials, without losing its charm.
For Tucci, less has always been more. His martini has long divided opinion: a cocktail so dry it’s practically desert air.
Admirers call it clean and clinical in the best way; detractors, a cold glass of gin dressed up in aesthetics. But what’s indisputable is the attention to detail, his drink is as carefully composed as his Negroni was theatrically stirred.
Tanqueray, for its part, plays the scarcity card with precision. With no major campaign and a social-only announcement, the 194-year-old brand moves like a cultural startup, not a legacy gin brand.
Tucci confessed to “batching a few too many” martinis and invited followers to claim one of just 30 pre-mixed bottles. Each parcel arrives with Manzanilla olives, two No.TEN glasses and a handwritten note—everything you need to elevate the home martini ritual, minus the effort.
“What I admire about Tanqueray No.TEN are the gin’s pioneering levels of elegance and excellence …It’s the signature citrus essence that makes an exceptional martini, which is why I’m advocating we ‘make it a TEN’ this World Martini Day,” says Tucci.
Distilled in small batches with whole grapefruit, lime and chamomile, No.TEN has long been the bartender’s favourite. It pours bright, crisp and thanks to that citrus core, needs little more than a twist of grapefruit peel.
Charlotte Gibbon, Tanqueray’s category director at Diageo GB says, "We are so pleased to offer our consumers the opportunity to experience the excellence and artistry of Tanqueray No.TEN…from the comfort of their homes this World Martini Day...We are delighted once again to have the ultimate connoisseur of taste, Stanley Tucci, to lead the charge in inspiring audiences to elevate at-home hosting.”
Scarcity is the point. With no ad push and only 30 bottles in circulation, Tanqueray, a 194-year-old house moving with challenger-brand reflexes, is testing whether heritage spirits can behave like street-wear drops: controlled, coveted, culture-smart.
Combine in a clean 700 ml bottle, freeze overnight. Pour 100 ml into a chilled glass; garnish with olives or a grapefruit twist.
