PARIS - The prestigious Avenue Montaigne is the point where the Champs-Elysées convenes with the Alma Bridge. Not only is it regarded as one of the most exclusive and luxurious arteries in the capital, it’s also the home of Hôtel Plaza Athénée, part of the Dorchester Collection.

The Plaza Athénée is a palace unordinary. It’s situated in the beating heart of this extraordinary city. Boasting the address of French Haute Couture, the hotel proudly delivers the best of Paris.

And today, Dior, part of LVMH, inaugurated a new spa here. Dior says the spa has always been “an ultra-private haven of peace from urban stress,” since it first opened in 2008.

Today, the sanctuary has been reshaped, the spaces highlighting wood, stone and other natural materials that can only encourage relaxation. Dior brings a new look, a new experience, to the luxury spa. Focussing on warm accents, a serene atmosphere and high-tech treatments, the muted and cocooned décor is inspired by the hotel archways.

The Dior Light Suite is a wonderful edition in time for winter. The treatment room is inspired by light therapy, the ceiling reproducing the sun’s light to help resynchronise the body’s rhythms and restore energy.

According to Dior, this spa is unique for a luxury hotel in the city. New treatments, notably the Dior Privé Sur Demande, have been specially developed to match the experience expected.

Will we see other luxury houses innovate into the spa-space? Time will tell.

But, for now, if you find yourself in La Ville d’Amour for Jerome Robbins: Opéra National de Paris, or even Madonna, Dior’s newly debuted spa at Hotel Plaza Athénée will certainly set things off nicely.
